TAFE results

Hi all,
i got my TAFE results today in the mail, did fairly well. I'm surprised i didn't get a distinction in art. Credit....meh.
Still on the hunt for work, apparently TAFE is 4 days a week again next semester, where originally we were told it was going to be only 3 days. Gives me less time to work.
Seeing as i have no new work to upload i'm going to recommend a music artist or artists in this case.


It's flamenco meets jazz meets rock. It's really good and i stumbled across it while i was loitering around in fish records. Here's one of their live performances.

Art and Pirates

Hello Hello,

About to go to sleep, but the computer was still on so i thought i may aswell post the final of my drawings i did for art at TAFE.

Watched Pirates of the Caribbean 2 tonight. It was very good. Long but very good. The movie had a couple of distractions though.
1. Don't girls feel cold when they wear short-as mini skirts in winter? She was warming up her legs or i don't know what she was doing, but she was fidgeting during the entire movie. Annoying.
2. There was this idiot who near the end of the movie had the urge to start yelling things out. I wanted to tell the guy to shut the hell up but couldn't spot where he was.People who talk during a movie, annoying.
And don't you hate it when you get to the movie early, not cos you want to stand around for half an hour twiddling your thumbs cos its fun. But because you know there's gonna be a huge line and you want good seats. And then up come's along someone who comes at the last minute and cuts in by ducking underneath the tape thingie.
I'm not gonna make a scene if someone does it and it's not next to me, whoever gets cut in next to should speak up.
Tonight these two old tarts cut in and the lady next to them told them that they should go to the back of the line and the old hags just ignored her....OOh that bugged the hell out of me. There is no chance of someone trying to pull that off if i'm standing there. Just physically stand in the way so they have no way of cutting in. It's the principal of the whole thing dammit!

Well i think i've let that off my chest..and to sum it up. Pirates of the Caribbean2...good. People who cut in line and talk in movies and wear mini skirts in winter then proceed to spend entire length of movie trying to warm up thier legs...baad.

No more predictions

Hi all,
Well i was wrong again on my prediction, so i will not be making anymore and will be supporting Italy in the final. Going to watch the finals at Norton street(huge italian crowd), should be crazy.
In other news, i'm looking for a casual job that i can work inbetween Tafe and on the weekends. I have bold plans and bold plans require the cash.

Superman Returns

Hi everyone,
I watched Superman Returns a couple of days ago, and must say i liked it. Special effects are really good. At first i was very suspect of the actor who plays the man of steel but, i think he did pretty well. You can tell they told him to play it like Christopher Reeves. If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it. The part where he stops the plane is worth the ticket price alone.

In commemoration to the movie i'm posting another of my drawings and guess what? yep its of Superman.

Germany All the Way!!

My pick to win it! Germany! I never said Argentina nah.......*cough cough* anyway here's 6 drawings i did as a storyboard. I couldn't decide on what to draw so, with my phone i got some reference shots of myself doing a jab,straight,hook,elbow into a reverse spin elbow. Ist gut ja? Was ist ein....um...what's german for opinion?

New IP problems

Bloody Internet! I churned to a new service provider cos it was 10 bucks cheaper than my old one, i was a little concerned about it not being a smooth transition..and guess what. Not.Smooth.At.All.
Took around a week but now i'm connected again but i have to buy a new modem, for some reason my old modem doesn't seem to work with them! geez. Kinda makes the whole 10 bucks a month cheaper thing a little moot. yeah moot.

The socceroos were defeated from a dirty decision by a dirty ref. C'mon that wasn't a penalty! Anyway moving along, i believe Argentina will go all the way. The Aussies did very well though and much better than i expected really.

I'm posting a couple of those drawings i did a little while back and will post more in the coming days.(same drawings-the original and the one i had to ink cos the teacher wanted it black and white)

Video, Soccerroos, Origin and Exams

Hi everyone, you may recall last post about how much work i had to hand in. Well i'm please to say that i handed in all my art, was a little confused about the mark i got, but i didnt mention anything so c'est la vie. Had 2 exams today on coding HTML, i think i did pretty well, especially on the second one.
I have tomorrow off, so will be doing work all day. I still have to complete:

a powerpoint presentation on copyright
a report on a workshop we did
2 exams on friday
a diary cover and a website design.

Now on to the soccerroos. They played really well against brazil, blew a couple of really good chances and ended up losing 2-0, but tis ok cos we're gonna beat croatia and proceed to the final 16s.

The bloody queenslanders smashed us in the state of origin last week so i'm not going to go too into it, i believe the final game is on in a couple of weeks and i will post a review on the game then.

Im posting the final assignment i did for conceptual skills that was due today, which i started last night, and finished around 4:30am. I'll post my art stuff soon
